“At La Cocina de Minaka, located at the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake in Yamanashi, we offer an opportunity for everyone from children to adults, Japanese and foreigners alike, to learn and experience macrobiotics, and to harmonize their mind and body.
☆ Simple Stay-Type Homestay (Room Only) 4,000 yen
☆ Grain-Based Meal Included Homestay 6,500 yen
While living together at the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake, you can experience macrobiotics, a lifestyle in harmony with nature. We can speak a bit of English and Spanish. In winter, it’s a 20-minute drive to the ski resort, and in summer, a 20-minute drive to the river. There are also several hot springs nearby.
☆ Macrobiotic Learning-Type Homestay 15,000 yen
We offer cooking classes and lectures at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily, allowing you to learn macrobiotics both in theory and practice during your homestay. We select local, pesticide-free seasonal vegetables suited to each individual’s constitution for cooking and decide on the content of the lectures. Families and friends with children, or one-on-one, can enjoy and experience macrobiotics together.
☆ Reborn Stay Retreat 35,000 yen
For those who find fasting too challenging but want to harmonize their mind and body, are interested in agricultural experiences, or wish to immerse themselves in rural nature, etc. Throughout the year, you can participate in rice farming activities such as seeding, planting, hand weeding, rice harvesting, and the harvest festival, as well as cooking with seasonal vegetables on site and experiencing Jomon period lifestyle. This retreat also aims to harmonize the mind and body through a macrobiotic lifestyle in tune with nature. Partial participation is possible.
☆ Healing Stay 16,000 yen (Long-term stays require consultation)
For those unable to cook at home or wanting to heal in nature, we provide meals tailored to your daily health condition during your stay. We also offer necessary treatments (ginger compresses, taro pasta, dried leaf baths, etc.). You can also participate in rice field and farming work.
☆ Fasting Camp (Available for individuals as well)
Several times a year, or privately, we organize fasting camps such as semi-fasting or no-salt fasting tailored to each individual. These are intensive fasting camps in the nature of Mt. Yatsugatake, including brisk walking, original exercises, and word spirit work.”
